The central silver 'sun-burst' motif was cast by me from an 18th Century button found by a metal detectorist. I added the 9ct gold shepherds hook and both earrings are suspended with a pear-drop freshwater pearl, set in sterling silver. These earrings are inspired by 18th Century Girandole earrings worn in Europe at that time.
The earrings are hallmarked at the Goldsmiths Assay Office in London.
The entire drop of each earrings measures 49mm and the central silver -sun-burst' has a 20mm diameter.
